Interpretative Landscape painting is about moving from depiction to expression. It's about finding a unique voice within the timeless tradition of landscape art. An interpretive painting can make you feel the awe, fear, and power of being there. The landscape can become a metaphor for internal states (a turbulent sky for inner turmoil), the passage of time (layers of geological history), or commentary on our relationship with the environment. Use the landscape for a personal, emotional, or conceptual statement. The subject isn't the tree; it's the feeling the tree evokes. Any medium (must be non toxic).
