BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR
Interested In Becoming An OAS Instructor?
The Oakville Art Society looks for qualified art instructors. We offer classes, workshops, and lectures in painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and jewelry in the Oakville area. We look for quality fine art instructors, accomplished in their field and dedicated to sharing their skills, knowledge, and expertise.

All instructors are hired as independent consultants on an as needed basis, may be required to sign an instructors’ agreement with the OAS and must present a current (not more than 3 years old) criminal background check.
Please submit the following information to our Program Coordinator
- Current Resume
- Current CV
- Art area(s) of strength:
Watercolour – Acrylic – Oil – Drawing – Pastels – Photography – Digital Arts – Other - Preference: class, workshop or lectures- classes are 8 weeks long – workshops are 1 to 5 days
- Basic outline – I may rework description but will send to you for approval
- Materials list if needed
- Level of students- beginner, intermediate or advanced
- Dates requested from 1 to 5 days (weekends are best for 2 day workshops)
- Hours of workshop
- Rate of pay (daily or hourly) (please include mileage if needed)
- Link to site
- Images of work for promotional use
- Minimum cancellation notice time
- Maximum number of students We sit 16 at tables – 12 only with easels and tables
- Set up of room- easels? any special equipment needed? Projector or screen?
- Do you use social media? Twitter YouTube Instagram?
- Permission to link and/or use your videos /images on our Social Media pages for promotion?
- Do you promote your workshop?
