PROMOTING ARTISTS AND ARTISANS SINCE 1965
Art In The Park
In 1965, the OAS created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans. Today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event with artists and artisans from across the country. This show boasts only original work where artists are chosen for their originality and command of their chosen medium. Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings, to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculpture, and fine jewelry.
Art in the Park has gained a reputation for being one of the best-run art shows in southern Ontario and features more than 175 booths. The event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront every year. Visitors get to meet the artists and learn about the works they have created. Art in the Park is a one-day event always held on the Civic Holiday Monday in August at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Bronte Road and Ontario Street, in Oakville, Ontario. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm.
