Classes & Workshops

Our MANY summer programs are underway!

We are back in the office (weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in July). 

Fall memberships can be purchased now if you’d like to register for a fall program at our members’ price. Your membership purchased between now and the start of our fall term entitles you to the members’ discount on any of our (MANY) summer programs as well.

Please NOTE: We decide ONE WEEK before any program’s start date if it will run, so don’t wait to register.

Before Registering

1. When you register for any program online,  a confirmation will be emailed to you
2. We determine if there are enough people registered to run any program six days prior to the start date (so please register before then to increase the likelihood that a program will go ahead).
3. Adult classes are suitable for any artist who is capable of the skills and focus appropriate for any program.
4. Adult students generally provide their own supplies and plastic tablecloths (readily available at the $ store).
5. Please note that NO turpentine/linseed oil based solvents are permitted. Oil painters must clean their brushes with vegetable oil or soap & water. Water-based oil paints are available at all art suppliers.
6. In rare cases, OAS may need to cancel a class, in which case an alternate (make-up) date will be listed.
7. All students have the right to learn in a positive and creative environment. In extreme cases, the program coordinator reserves the right to withdraw a student from any program.
8. OAS does not offer make-up classes for students who are unable to attend scheduled programs.
9. Payment must accompany registration. You may pay for your classes and workshops through our secure payment gateway. These are secured transactions and your credit card information is never stored. Payment may also be arranged through e-transfer or direct credit card link. We are also happy to help you in our office, or over the phone.
