ArtSPREE is "choose your own adventure" week at OAS! Young artists can choose what project(s) / which day(s) they would like to join our special program(s), each of which takes place for one morning only over the course of the week of August 11-15. Sign up for as many sessions / days as you like. The schedule is the same every morning that week, running from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aprons will be provided, but please dress kids in clothes that might get a bit messy.

Description: In this 5-day workshop, participants will learn how to identify impressionist and post-impressionist artists, techniques, and values of the time. In preparation for making their own impressionist painting, this workshop will go over the characteristics of impressionism - colour, atmosphere, and brushwork - and develop a creative workflow. By the end of the workshop and learning exercises, participants will leave with their very own impressionist painting!
