In this course, AJ will teach you the fundamentals of fluid art: making pouring medium and mixing acrylic paints while experimenting with multiple ways of creating fluid art, including open flip cup, imitation stained glass, chain pulls, strainer flowers, and blow outs. Be captivated by the process; the colours, and the magic and movement. Out of stockSpend a fun few hours immersed in the magical world of Cyanotype with this interactive workshop. This unique form of camera-less photography dates back to 1842 and uses sunlight, treated paper and found objects and botanicals to create striking deep blue images. Participants will learn the steps to creating their own images, exposing them to the sunlight and watching them develop to reveal unique works of art. Suitable for any experience level. This workshop will take place both indoors and outside so participants are encouraged to bring a hat and water.

Join OCAD grad (a.k.a. 'art nerd') Megan for five mornings of paintings inspired by iconic artists. A variety of mediums will be used to create pieces in the style of Picasso (cubism collaged faces), dot painting (Yavio Kusama), Pop Art (incorporating bright colours), Van Gogh's Sunflowers (impressionism, using tissue paper), and a step-by-step landscape from the Group of Seven. All materials are included, just dress for art!

OAS is thrilled to continue life drawing (with live models) to Studio Two this summer. This five session class will begin with fundamental drawing techniques applied to the human figure. Techniques taught will include: basic human anatomy, contour drawing, gesture drawing and chiaroscuro. The concluding drawings in the class will involve long poses where all techniques covered are cohesively combined. Feathers & Fur: A Creative Drawing AdventureBring your favourite animals to life in this exciting drawing course! From fluffy pets and majestic birds to woodland creatures and wild animals, young artists will discover how to capture the textures, shapes, and personalities of the animal kingdom using a variety of professional drawing materials. Throughout the course, students will experiment with graphite pencils of different grades, coloured pencils, and watercolour pencils while learning essential drawing techniques such as shading, blending, texture, proportion, and colour layering. They'll build confidence with every project as they create artwork they'll be proud to take home. Designed for ages 7–13, this class is taught using a multi-level approach. More experienced artists will be encouraged to add extra detail and refine their techniques, while younger or newer artists can simplify each project and work at their own pace. Everyone is supported and challenged at the level that's right for them.
