In this course, students will learn the essential foundations of oil painting, including how to handle materials, mix colors, and build form with light and shadow. In this 8-week course, we’ll deep dive into the drawing program Procreate (for iPad). Other digital drawing programs are welcome, but will differ slightly in layout and usage. Topics like user interface, brush sets, layer organization, adjustments, export settings, and more will be explored in depth. Procreate-specific features like animation, selection tools, and flexible colour palettes will also be studied in a practical, hands-on approach. Throughout the course, we’ll develop personal projects, or a themed project while using digital techniques like clipping masks, blending modes, textures, and brush sets. No experience needed!Please bring your own iPad! This is a digital only course, participants without an iPad or tablet will not receive the full experience and knowledge this course has to offer.

From single line animals to fantasy dragon scenes, upside down worlds to cartoon characters, and holiday favourites, there is something new all the time, and the skills just keep getting better! This program is designed for children aged 7-13.

In this course we will will build a wide body of artwork to allow children to explore every medium and a broad range of subjects. Our creations will include cubism, abstract, landscapes, florals, and how to paint snow for winter creations. We will play and explore using different tools like a palette knife and textured mediums, foil and glazes. This program is designed for children aged 7-13.

Out of stockWatercolour is a lovely transparent medium. Laurel helps you explore using watercolour, figuring out the steps, colour mixes and the fascinating interaction between water, paint, and paper. Have fun while learning: hard and soft edges, getting depth, as well as different brushstrokes. This class will build confidence in how to handle this medium by teaching you many helpful tricks. Join us for a four week, intensive and systematic, step by step course that covers the fundamentals of drawing. While primarily aimed at beginners, the course will also help firm up the skills of students with some drawing experience. Following completion of the program, students will have the comprehensive skill set necessary to accurately render any observable object. While not mandatory, some drawing during the week between sessions will enhance the learning experience.

Come join us, as you play and experiment with acrylic paints in this fun, interactive workshop. In this beginner course, AJ will teach you the fundamentals of fluid art: making pouring medium and mixing acrylic paints while experimenting with open cup, flip cup, and chain pull. Explore the world of dessert painting with a guided, stress-free approach! In this 3-hour, beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll begin with an easy introduction to dessert structure and shading basics, understanding simple forms, light direction, and proportion to help you sketch confidently or work from a provided outline template if you prefer to jump straight into painting. You may draw your own outline or paint along using a provided sketch template. This session is all about learning with fun and building confidence — no pressure, no perfection, just progress! By the end, you’ll have one finished dessert artwork, essential techniques you can reuse, and the skills to continue painting your favorite treats in watercolor at any scale. No prior experience needed. You’ll leave with one completed dessert painting, essential watercolor skills, and the confidence to create more yummy artwork on your own. Create your completely original 9"×12" batik art on wild silk. Paint your own design and learn the wax process to create the exquisite batik texture. You will work on the highest grade silk, specifically suited for batik. Your outcome will be a piece suitable to mount on the canvas of your choice (9"×12" gallery deep or 11" ×14" regular) after the workshop (and therefore not included in the workshop fee.) Alternatively, you may later opt to stretch it under glass with paspartu/paper frame. All that will be left for you to complete at home is to iron off the wax before stretching it to suit your preferred presentation mode; you will leave with exact instructions for the specific technique you select, and everything you need to know regarding the aftercare of your treasured piece.
