In this relaxed, supportive class Carolyn explores the language of abstract painting. She introduces you to techniques and materials to create expressive, nonobjective works of art. Create compelling abstract compositions as you explore the development of abstract forms and find the balance between spontaneity and control. Distill objects into new imagery as you learn to subtract, expand, isolate, redefine, and translate from a photo or sketch. There are no mistakes in this class and you are encouraged to bring an open mind and playful attitude. Lots of individual attention and demos. Materials List
