You have been painting in your chosen medium, and now you’d like to move on to explore portraiture. This workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of drawing and painting portraits, starting with laying down the basic structure of the head and understanding how a face is built. You will learn how to construct facial features from a photo, with reasonable proportions, develop confident line work, and apply shading to create form and depth using pencil and charcoal.
