You Can Make A Difference

Become a Volunteer with the Oakville Art Society! The OAS is a volunteer-run charitable organization that depends on the generosity of time from our members. For more than 50 years, these volunteer efforts have contributed to the success of our organization.

Do you have some extra time and/or skills to share? We are always looking for help in a variety of ways, from event planning to on-site at events, and marketing. Our Board of Directors is always looking for dynamic and skilled individuals to consider a position on our Board or a working sub-committee.

Board of Directors

The Board is responsible for the day-to-day running of our organization and each Director is responsible for a specific area, such as Gallery, Memberships, Finances and so on.  Our Directors-at-Large have a more general role where they use the experience to learn about OAS and to assist any of the other Directors with specific tasks or projects.  If you have a little spare time why not consider joining the Board and help to keep OAS a vibrant and fun organization?

OAS Coordinators

OAS Board of Directors works really hard to run the OAS but they cannot do it alone! They need coordinators to help with Gallery Exhibitions, Special Events, Grant Writing and more. If you think you can help, please get in touch.

Event Planning

We are always in need of people to help with the planning and on-site needs of our events such as Art in the Park, Juried Show, Student Show and more. If you can help out in a leadership role or as a helper please let us know. Getting involved in OAS events is a great way to connect with others who share your appreciation of art and community.

Event Marketing Team

We always need volunteers to spread the word about what’s going on. If you enjoy connecting via Social Media perhaps you could help us broaden our presence in the digital world. You could also assist with delivering print information such as posters and flyers in your community. Perhaps you might lend a hand by reaching out to businesses or organizations in order to promote or sponsor an event. Why not step forward and help encourage greater enjoyment of everything OAS has to offer?
