Tuesday May 21 (9am-1pm), Wed. May 22 (9am-1pm), and Thurs. May 23 (6-10pm). This workshop takes place over two mornings and the subsequent evening:
Location: Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, 2340 Ontario St. Oakville (meet at the gazebo). Please note the above hours intended to capture varied light conditions. These workshops are intended for traditional oil, water-soluble oils and acrylic.
This workshop will guide participants through the process of outdoor painting. From how to choose a subject, to capturing its essence, Peter will demonstrate the techniques that will allow you to convey your intended message through an impactful and engaging painting. Much more than an unstructured, unguided Plein Air outing, Peter’s daily demonstrations and individual attention throughout the three sessions will grow your skills and enhance your technique. You will learn to manage the evolving morning and evening natural light over the course of these sessions, regardless of the weather. Materials: Plein air easel, palette, brushes, palette knife, paint thinner, paper towels
Paints: cad red medium, cad yellow light, yellow ocher, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, prussian blue, titanium white
Other: hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, bag for used paper towels
