Capture the quiet beauty of misty forests in this calming and expressive 3-hour watercolor workshop. Inspired by layered woodland scenes, you’ll learn how to paint atmospheric landscapes using soft washes, minimal brushwork, and a monochromatic color palette. We’ll begin by exploring how to create depth through layering; starting with light, distant tree forms and gradually building darker foreground elements. You’ll learn essential watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet blending, controlling water for soft edges, and using tonal values to create a sense of distance and mood. Through guided demonstrations and step-by-step instruction, you’ll discover how to simplify complex natural scenes into loose, expressive shapes while maintaining a sense of realism. The focus will be on creating a peaceful, moody atmosphere and learning to let the watercolor flow naturally. This workshop is perfect for beginners (of all ages) as well as artists looking to explore expressive landscapes and build confidence with watercolor techniques. click here for the MATERIALS List for Misty Watercolour Mountains

Here is some feedback from one of Disha’s recent SOLD OUT Watercolour workshops at OAS:
“The workshop was lovely. Ms.Sharma was very prepared, she taught some basic brush fundamentals then graduated those exercises in sequence to build a bouquet on paper. It was one of the best beginner workshops I’ve taken in watercolour for that reason, although I’ve received excellent instruction from all the other teachers of this medium. I just happen to like her very structured approach, as it was a great refresher. Lovely instructor, clear and concise, supportive and helpful. My two friends loved this class.”
“I loved this class! Disha was a great teacher. I feel like I learned more and got better water control/understanding in the 3 hours than I have in previous multi week watercolour (or acrylic) sessions. The pace of the class was perfect. Sometimes in the past I have found the instructor shows too many things/steps at once before we go back to attempt them ourselves and as a beginner it can be hard to remember everything and try to replicate. Her choice of music was great and fitting for the class. It was a nice realized atmosphere. I enjoyed this class very much and am very pleased with what I accomplished and learned.”
“I loved this class and instructor.”
“Disha is an excellent teacher, with the perfect combination of demo and practice time. I can’t believe how much I learned in one session, and it was all so easy! As an absolute beginner, I was really happy with my creations, and I’m so excited to practice the fun (and addictive) techniques we learned. I booked her next workshop as soon as I got home, and am really looking forward to the floral session in June.”
“I loved the intro to watercolours class with Disha, the theory and the practice stroke were particularly interesting.”
