Thursday mornings, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm (Studio Two)
This class is 6 weeks and runs Nov. 6 – Dec. 11 (makeup date is Dec. 18 if OAS must cancel a class)
Mehrzad is a master of hyper-realism in acrylic (and oil). He believes strongly that competent drawing skills are essential to develop expertise in painting. You can see his incredible work on both his Instagram and his website.
Here is some of what his students had to say recently:
“This is the second acrylic painting class that I have taken with Mehrzad Jaberi and I can only say how valuable and worthwhile I found his teaching and encouragement. I have learned more in his classes than any other class I have taken with OAS. He is not only a brilliant artist in his own right, but he is a kind, respectful and encouraging teacher, striving always to make his students succeed. I paint more now than I ever have because of his classes and am so impressed I have signed up for his third 8 week spring class.”
“I just finished this four week class and I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am. Mehrzad is a true artist and a wonderful and generous teacher. I have taken several classes through the OAS and I can clearly and confidently say I learned more than I have in any other class. So much so that I signed up for Mehrzad’s second class in February. If anything – The class could be extended by a week or two. It was, all in all, a great, fulfilling and invigorating experience.”
“He is prepared, provides examples and demos in class. He is clear with objectives. He provides kind, sound, feedback and listens to what students say.”
