Welcome to the perfect place to hang out for a couple of hours and ease into the weekend. From the sketch to a final painting, in this all ages, introductory class, you will learn the basics of drawing and watercolour through a series of nature and still-life setups. Through structured demonstrations and hands-on learning, you will gain confidence in creating compelling compositions, understanding drawing and painting techniques, and exploring different ways to create texture with watercolour. Classes will alternate between sketching and painting but take your time! Whether you are building up your skills or starting from the very beginning, the goal is to learn something new and have fun! This class is in Studio One on Friday afternoons from 4-6 p.m. and runs for eight weeks — Sept. 11 – Oct. 30. In the event OAS must cancel a class for any reason, a make-up class will run on November 6.
This class is perfect for beginners, and everyone (all ages) are welcome).
