Discover the art of painting birds in watercolor! In this 3-hour, beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll start with an inspiring introduction to bird anatomy, understanding proportions, posture, wings, beaks, and feather flow to help you observe subjects with more confidence. You may choose to draw your own bird sketch, or work from a provided outline template if you prefer to focus fully on painting. From there, you’ll learn to build soft watercolor layers for shape and volume, blend vibrant colors with ease, and finish your illustration with gentle coloured pencil accents to add definition, feather texture, and final details. Here is some feedback from Disha’s SOLD OUT Watercolour 101 workshop at OAS:

“I loved this class and instructor. Unfortunately I can’t commit to a weekly session so this was a perfect afternoon focused on the foundations. I hope I can make it to the next session.”

“Disha is an excellent teacher, with the perfect combination of demo and practice time. I can’t believe how much I learned in one session, and it was all so easy! As an absolute beginner, I was really happy with my creations, and I’m so excited to practice the fun (and addictive) techniques we learned. I booked her next workshop as soon as I got home, and am really looking forward to the floral session in June.”

“I loved the intro to watercolours class with Disha, the theory and the practice stroke were particularly interesting.”
