Palette knife is one of the most rewarding techniques that produces loose, eye-catching impressionistic paintings with a lot of texture. This one-day workshop will help you to become more comfortable using a palette knife. The process will enable you to become more expressive and carefree with your painting,  which will bring freshness to your work. It will inspire you to explore the textures of palette-knife work, adding another dimension to your oil painting repertoire. Participants will receive step by step guidance and a great degree of individual attention. The workshop is open to all levels, although artists with at least some basic painting experience will gain the most from this experience Materials List
  • This is a four day workshop, running each day Monday through Thursday, July 15th to 18th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Recently returned from sold out workshops in France and Southampton, and an award winner at Paint Ontario 2024, we are pleased to host Jacintha between her many other commitments.  “My style is contemporary Impressionism, my palette is bold colour. Emphasis is on “thinking outside the box” combining strong colour tones and values while concentrating on the play of light on shapes.  Learn to create contemporary  impressionistic paintings using loose brushstrokes and a variety of techniques. We will create a painting that is not a copy of the reference photo, rather an interpretation of it. Some experience in acrylic painting or oils is an asset.” Summer Blooms and Gardens in Acrylics with Instructor Jacintha Krish Materials List
