Learn how to paint our magical winged neighbours! This fun and no-stress beginner class will guide you through how to capture the beauty of various local (and some more exotic) birds and butterflies. You’ll learn how to use acrylic paint and techniques that you can apply to having fun at home, and your future practice. You will come out of this class with more confidence as a painter, and take pride in the pieces you create!

A bit about Megan:
Megan Hazen is an artist originally from the Ottawa Valley, now based in Burlington. A graduate of OCAD University, Megan has exhibited widely in group exhibitions and shows across Ottawa & the Valley, Burlington & Halton Region, Toronto & the GTA, and Florence, IT. Highlights include the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, the ‘So You Want to be an Artist’ competition at the National Art Gallery and appearing on the CBC/Makeful television show ‘Landscape Artist of the Year Canada’. Megan is a board member of the Elizabeth Gardens Creative Collective, and has helped create and facilitate public art with Smilezone Foundation, Acclaim Health and more.
