OAS is thrilled to welcome Greg back to OAS and celebrate his recent retirement from his “day” job. Hopefully, we will see a lot more of Greg from now on.
His work is exquisite. His manner is calm and gentle. You can read a bit about him and his work in this piece from The Spectator.
Here is what some of his OAS students have said:
“I feel Greg Douglas is an excellent teacher and his pastels are certainly worth the time. He showed us quite a few ways in which to use them and mix them with other medias as well.”
“Greg did an excellent job, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I can only be amazed at his skills.”
“This was an amazing introduction to pastel course! I have learnt a lot in a short time and was really happy about my results. We covered a lot of techniques and learned many tips. I liked that we were able to choose our own subjects. It was great to have a demo part at the beginning of each class before working independently, and still be guided and encouraged throughout each class. Greg is a great educator and artist! I hope there will be a continuation of this class.”
