People add a whole new dimension to your paintings. Gaining the skills to do this is an easy process. Robin will demo how to add people to landscapes, beach scenes, cafes scenes and streetscapes. We will also paint scenes where there are large groups of people and Robin will show you how to accomplish this. You will build your confidence by painting a new scene every week. Students will be given plenty of time to complete the painting in class. Please bring your supplies to class.

Feedback from Robin’s fall classes:

The Creative Mentoring sessions by Robin Mitchell were truly inspiring and delightful. The learning plan preparations, the demonstrations with ongoing commentary, the enlightening and generous constructive feedback on personal work and work of other colleagues and participatory class discussions provided a wonderful studio learning experience. Excellent mentoring and an excellent class!

————————-

I really enjoyed Robin Mitchell’s course. He had learning plan’s developed for each class. Each class refected an artistic theme and/or techniques. He prepared demonstration material prior to the class and also provided live demonstrations explaining techniques, composition and colour palates. There was a nice blend of acrylic and oil demonstrations. Good discussion on painting surface options also. Robin is an exceptional painter and a truly talented instructor. This is evident by his full classes. He provides welcomed and positive constructive feedback. It is always a pleasure taking his courses.

—————————

I can never say enough positive things about Robin’s skill level, his handouts, his studio examples and overall preparation which enables individual student success in painting. He is the exemplar for all art instructors to follow. Lovely class, great handling of student interaction, the class loved it. I will be signing up for more from this instructor.
