This is an incredible opportunity to take your portrait work to the next level. The challenges presented creating a portrait painting are unlike any other genre. Connie will pay attention to each student’s strengths and challenges on a deeper level, and customize exercises and projects for each artist along the way. When students feel ready, they can focus on their own projects with Connie there every step of the way. Individual feedback and guidance will always be available throughout the course. Students may bring whatever supplies they feel comfortable with, and / or refer to the list here for guidance:

Connie is a visual artist born and raised in South Korea, who enjoys discovering individuality through portrait painting. She believes that everyone has essential character, and she would express that through her honest observation and creative interpretation. She finds an enormous joy in capturing interesting personalities of people and animals in the flowy richness of oil colours, employing traditional art principles.
