Mix your preferred paint medium with fibre, thread and stitch! In this 6-week course, we will first explore the different techniques and effects that can be created by painting on fabric.  Throughout the duration of the course we will learn some basic embroidery stitches, fabric manipulation techniques and some 3D effects to create truly original pieces from this unique, hybrid approach that is so satisfying for both the hands and the eyes.
A starter kit of materials for both stitching and painting on fabric is included in the course fee. See additional materials list below.

In recent years her fibre art has been influenced by a number of classes and workshops with some notable fibre artists, such as Sue Stone and Meredith Woolnough.  With the addition of painting and mark making her fibre art is now branching out in a new and exciting direction.
Currently, Kat is a member of the Oakville Fibre Artists and also Stitch Club through the auspices of Textile Artists.Org.
